When it comes to the transfer market, JOSE MOURINHO is planning to compete against his former team.
In the battle to sign Paulo Dybala, Manchester United will face off against Jose Mourinho, their former manager. The Argentine forward, whose contract at Juventus expired this summer, is one of the most sought-after free agents.
Naturally, a wide range of elite European teams have been keeping tabs on Dybala's situation since he decided to look for a new challenge after spending seven years at Juventus. As a result, Manchester United and AS Roma are expected to compete for the highly sought-after striker now that his rumored transfer to Inter Milan appears to have fallen through.
After winning the Europa League in his first season at the club, Mourinho reportedly has "big ambitions" in Rome. Additionally, Dybala has emerged as the Italian team's "absolute priority" this summer, and they are eager to complete a deal as soon as possible.
Manchester United is also interested in signing Dybala, so Mourinho will have to ward off their interest if he wants to get the desired striker.

Cristiano Ronaldo dropped a major bombshell on Erik ten Hag last week when he said he would like to leave the club if a good offer is put forward for his services this summer. As a result, United are getting ready to enter the market for attacking reinforcements.
The Portuguese megastar, who will turn 38 next season, intends to compete for big awards in his final years of his storied career. Ronaldo is also eager to play in the Champions League, but Manchester United is unable to provide him with the opportunity following their disastrous Premier League season.
Dybala would be a suitable successor for Ronaldo if he were to fulfill his dream and leave Old Trafford, but Roma's need to complete a deal fast would compel United to step up their interest in Dybala.

Since it was announced that Dybala would be leaving Juventus this summer, there has been much speculation about his future. However, the ex-Palermo player has been quiet about his plans.
Dybala emphasized that he would be more than delighted to stay in Italy when asked about his plans by ESPN last month. He did not, however, completely rule out the prospect of moving abroad, which puts United in the running to land Dybala before Mourinho and Roma.
Last month, Dybala stated: "I'm at ease since my coworkers are taking good care of me. I feel really at home in Italy. Although I'm content in Italy, I still wish I knew more about other leagues like the Premier and Liga."
