Supposed fraud

In presenting the case's facts, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Emmanuel Nyamekye stated that in 2021, Ms. Amankwah informed two individuals—who are the case's complainants—that she was a nurse employed at the Jubilee House.

According to her, Ms. Amankwah informed the two individuals that she had the contacts necessary to assist them and others in obtaining work at the mentioned state institutions. According to the prosecution, the two people displayed interest in the recruiting process and told other members of their families and acquaintances.

The accused individual was able to collect a total of GH $1,286,600.00 from 221 family members and acquaintances after the complainants organised them. However, the accused did not follow through on her commitment and fled, according to the prosecution.

According to ASP Nyamekye, Ms. Amankwah was detained on May 11 in connection with a different recruiting fraud that caught the attention of her purported victims. The complainants pursued the matter with the authorities at a police station, where they identified Ms. Amankwah as the person who had allegedly deceived them, according to the prosecution.
