While Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain have been linked with him, it looks as though Dembele's priority was always to continue with Barcelona, despite his agents testing the waters across Europe; and it is now understood that only final approval is required over his new contract that will secure him at the club until June 2024. Dembele has been a priority for Xavi Hernandez this summer, having impressed the LaLiga side's manager when he welcomed him back into first-team activities. Get instant access LIVE BLOG 22.15 BST: Inter Milan have confirmed the departure of Arturo Vidal, as the Chile international is set to sign for Flamengo. After 71 appearances in two seasons for the Nerazzurri, the Italian side held a meeting with the 35-year-old and his agent today to confirm the termination of his contract, according to Sky Sports Italy. The midfielder will now reportedly join the Brazilian giants on a free transfer. 22.00 BST: Dayot Upamecano will not be leaving Bayern Munich this summer, according to Sky Sports Germany. The 23-year-old centre-back, who joined the Bundesliga side for €42.5m from RB Leipzig last summer, will reportedly stay for another season. The German side continues to lead Chelsea in the pursuit of Juventus' Matthijs de Ligt, but the Premier League club are reportedly interested in the French international if they miss out on the 22-year-old defender. 21.40 BST: AS Monaco have reached a verbal agreement for Borussia Mönchengladbach's Breel Embolo. According to Sky Sports Germany, the deal is worth more than €10m and will be finalised in the coming days. The 25-year-old Switzerland international scored 11 goals in 31 appearances across all competitions last season. 21.20 BST: Aston Villa confirm the signing of Ludwig Augustinsson on a season-long loan. The 28-year-old will join Villa Park on a loan deal from Sevilla, which includes an option to buy next summer. The Sweden international completed 27 appearances across all-competitions for the Spanish side last season and the experienced left-back is now set to compete with Lucas Digne for a position in Steven Gerrard's starting line-up. 21.00 BST: Brentford are set to beat Manchester United to the free transfer of goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha. According to the Athletic, the 27-year-old is close to joining the Bees from Lazio on a four-year deal. The Albanian international reportedly rejected a move to Old Trafford in favour of first-team football in London, following uncertainty surrounding the future of current first-choice goalkeeper David Raya, with the 26-year-old yet to accept an initial offer to extend his contract, which expires in 2024. 20.42 BST: Wolves reject £25m opening bid from Everton to sign Morgan Gibbs-White, according to Sky Sports. The 22-year-old academy graduate, who spent last season on loan at Sheffield United, has made 86 appearances for the Wolverhampton side. The England U21 international is reportedly part of Bruno Lage's plans for next season and, with two years remaining on his contract, the midfielder is currently in negotiations for a long-term deal that will keep him at the Molineux. 19.30 BST: Samu Castillejo is set to leave AC Milan after agreeing personal terms with Valencia.
