Accra Hearts of Oak legend, Mohammed Ahmed 'Polo' has revealed why he decided to end his footballing profession at Accra Great Olympics.
Polo who joined the Phobians in the last part of the 1980s after spells abroad revealed that administration of the club believed him should resign despite his desire to the contrary.
He noticed that the appearance of a few new players at Hearts of Oak like Shamo Quaye and others made the club part away for certain players like him.
Talking on Asempa FM, he said, "I was a mentor player at Hearts of Oak and they needed to resign a legend like me. I needed to resign all alone and not really for anybody to compel me into retirement."
"It was during the period when Shamo Quaye and Ablade Coleman and co were arising. I left for Great Olympics however their mentor additionally had issues overseeing enormous players," he added.
