Understudies of Adventist Senior High School at Bantama in the Ashanti Region have uncovered they go to the eating lobby with their own sugar, bread and milk for breakfast.
As indicated by the understudies, they are not generally served total feasts during eating meetings.
Addressing Class FM's Ashanti Regional Correspondent Elisha Adarkwah, Wednesday, 13 July 2022, a few understudies of the school weeped over the powerlessness of the specialists to serve them complete feasts.
A female understudy said: "For example, the morning meal doesn't contain sugar, they just add salt, so we have been approached to bring our own sugar and bread or some other thing you would need to take with it since they can't give us some other thing.
"For lunch, we've been informed that they have nothing to add on the off chance that, it is kenkey, you need to take your own shito, regardless of whether its Gabeans[Gari and Beans], they just give the beans without oil, so we need to take our own gari."
She engaged government to come to the guide of the understudies.
"I beg government to come to our guide, we're languishing. I have stomach hurt since there's no cash for taking care of," the understudy expressed.
That's what a male understudy noticed: "There was no sugar in the tom earthy colored we had toward the beginning of the day. You need to give your own sugar. Concerning bread, we haven't been served bread since Form 1 second semester.
"A few guardians are not giving their wards arrangements with the information that they're being taken care of in the feasting corridor yet that isn't true. They [School authorities] are saying once they run out of food stuff they'll need to go to different schools for more."
Another female understudy likewise said: "I just have GHS10 left in light of the low quality of the dinners we're served, I have been purchasing food.
"Recently, the kenkey we ate gave me the runs."
The understudies have thusly approached government to supply food to the schools to ease the impact on them.
