Chelsea make massive Cristiano Ronaldo move judgements after Todd Boehly was offered Man Utd star

This summer, Chelsea is no longer interested in acquiring Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo.

Only one year after joining from Juventus, the Portuguese superstar wants out of Old Trafford. Ronaldo hasn't traveled with Erik ten Hag's team for United's preseason tour of Thailand and Australia because, according to rumors, he wants to keep participating in the Champions League.

During a meeting with Cristiano Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes, last month, Todd Boehly, a co-owner of Chelsea and the club's temporary sporting director following the departures of Marina Granovskaia and Petr Cech, was offered the 37-year-old forward.

However, it was decided that the Blues would not pursue a move for Ronaldo after talks between Thomas Tuchel and Chelsea's new ownership. Ronaldo scored 18 goals in the Premier League last season, but was unable to prevent United from finishing in sixth place overall.

Since it became clear that Ronaldo intended to leave United, there are less options for him to leave. While Bayern Munich's sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic previously told Sky Germany that Paris Saint-Germain had dropped out of the running to sign the Portugal international: "Top-tier athlete Cristiano Ronaldo has had a wonderful career. The rumor that is going about has no basis in reality, though."

According to TVI and CNN Portugal, Ronaldo has been made a lucrative offer worth €125million a season to join an unnamed club in Saudi Arabia, who would be willing to pay United a transfer fee of €30million

Chelsea have refused the chance to sign Cristiano Ronaldo this summer with the Portuguese superstar desperate to leave Manchester United.

Ronaldo returned to United last summer with the 37-year-old proving he can still compete at the top level, scoring 24 goals in all competitions. football.london understands Jorge Mendes, Ronaldo's agent, reached out to the Blues about a prospective transfer for the five-time Ballon d'Or winner, but Thomas Tuchel declined when owner Todd Boehly presented the possibility.

Chelsea completed a £45 million deal to acquire Raheem Sterling from Manchester City, marking their first acquisition under Boehly's ownership. Football.london is aware of the western Londoners have agreed to a £33 million fee with Napoli and are set to sign Kalidou Koulibaly as their second summer addition. They are also in negotiations to sign Presnel Kimpembe from Paris Saint-Germain.
