Barcelona is one of the top European clubs that is always interested in signing world-class players who they believe will help them in the competitions in which they compete.
Their most expensive signing is Ousmane Dembele, who they signed from Borussia Dortmund for €140 million in the 2017/2018 season.
Philippe Coutinho is their second most expensive signing. In the 2017/2018 season, they paid €135 million to sign the Brazilian winger from Liverpool. In 2022, they sold him to Aston Villa.
Antoine Griezmann is the club's third most expensive signing to date. They paid €120 million to sign the French attacking midfielder from Atletico Madrid.
Raphinha is Barcelona's most recent signing. The Brazilian winger was signed from Leeds United for €58 million during the summer transfer window of 2022. This makes him the club's ninth most expensive signing.

FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich have agreed on a transfer for Robert Lewandowski.
According to Tomasz Wlodarczyk, writing for the Polish website Meczyki, the deal is now just a "matter of formalities."
According to Wlodarczyk, the transfer process has "significantly accelerated" since Thursday evening, with Barcelona and Bayern "unofficially" reaching an agreement in principle that will be finalized in the coming days.
On Friday afternoon, German media reported that Barcelona would make a fourth offer for the 33-year-old, which would be accepted before the Bavarians met with the Catalans to work out the details.
Lewandowski is set to sign a three-year contract with Camp Nou, bringing him up to his 37th birthday. If a deal can be reached by the end of the weekend, the Poland captain is expected to join the Blaugrana on their preseason tour of the United States in order to play his first Clasico against Real Madrid on July 24 in Las Vegas.
The Polish report does not specify how much Barcelona will pay for Lewandowski, but it is widely assumed that the La Liga giants, who are currently mired in $1.5 billion in debt, were willing to pay up to €50 million for the man who has averaged 50 goals in his last three seasons across all competitions for Bayern.
Receiving such a sum represents pure profit for the Germans, who paid nothing to sign him as a free agent from domestic rivals Borussia Dortmund in 2013.
Landing Lewandowski concludes one of the summer's biggest transfer sagas for Barcelona, for whom he has been their main target since the end of a trophyless season for Xavi Hernandez's men last season.
Barca have had a successful few days on the market after acquiring Raphinha from Leeds United this week if they can also secure a striker widely regarded as the best of his generation.
However, because Financial Fair Play regulations must be followed, it is unclear how the club intends to register Raphinha and Lewandowski if his move occurs.
