Lady Edition of UGBS Alumni Business Excellence Awards held
In a bid to perceive and feature the commendable accomplishments and effect of graduated class, the University of Ghana Business School Alumni Association in a joint effort with the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) coordinated a Business Excellence Awards, the first of its sort on eighth July, 2022 at the Labadi Beach Hotel.
The occasion was themed "Granting Excellence in Achievement: The Role of UGBS Alumni".
Government authorities, commanders of ventures, heads of financial areas, extraordinary personalities and pioneers in scholarly world supported the event.
The Alumni Association's lady Business Excellence Awards, for graduated class and understudies, are lined up with the school's essential points of support and values and are intended to recognize and commend people and organizations that make extraordinary commitments to the progress of UGBS in different ways as well as financial improvement in Ghana.
The President of the UGBS Alumni Association, Dr. Kwaku Ofosu-Asare in a welcome location expressed that this being the lady version, they might not have hit the nail on the head recognizing every one of the people who should be granted.
He, nonetheless, noticed that the current year's release is to establish the groundwork for resulting years, consequently implored all to join the Alumni Association for them to contribute tremendously to the development and improvement of the Business School.
In conveying his message, Professor Justice Bawole, Dean of UGBS, communicated his true appreciation to people and associations that have upheld the Business school through various challenges.
Accordingly, Prof. Daniel Frimpong Ofori, Provost, College of Humanities, Mrs. Emelia Agyei-Mensah, Registrar, UG, and agent of Honorable Alan Kwadwo Kyeremateng, Minister for Trade and Industry conveyed fortitude messages.
Continuing on, the Guest of Honor, Dr. Kofi Koduah Sarpong expressed in his feature address that the outcome of our economy relies upon abilities, and how those abilities convert into the administration of strong business associations.
He referenced that corporate administration, labor force, mechanical changes, digitalisation and corporate social obligation are a portion of the issues significant in building a light business.
He further expressed his viewpoints on the UGBS Alumni's quest for the Business Excellence Awards and its suggestions for business research.
Dr. Sarpong finished up his discourse by asking Alumni to take a functioning interest and backing the forerunners in creating and supporting the Business Excellence Awards.
People and gatherings from different fields, for example, finance, showcasing, bookkeeping, policy implementation and human asset the executives were perceived. A few establishments and dynamic year bunches were likewise perceived for their humanitarian works.
