You were conceived champions, do right by yourselves and Ghanaians - NSA Board Chairman to Team Ghana
Head of the designation for Team Ghana at the World Athletics Championships, Oregon 2022, Seth Panwum, has depicted the competitors addressing the country at the occasion as 'champions.'
"You are conceived champions," Mr Panwum noted during a gathering with the competitors at an instructional meeting in Eugene just before the occasions.
"Ghanaians are with you in soul and [they] wish you sparkle in triumphs for yourselves and the country," he added.
Ghana will be addressed by the country's quickest 100m runner, Benjamin Azamati, 100m, and 200m subject matter expert, Joseph Paul Amoah, the accomplished Sean Sarfo Antwi, and Emmanuel Yeboah.
Others are Joseph Manu and Long jumper, Deborah Acquah.
The group of four of Azamati, Joe Paul, Sarfo-Antwi, and Yaboah were in the last of the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 and are supposed to lead Ghana's journey for greatness at the games that will have around 1928 competitors from 200 nations contend in 49 occasions.
Panwum, who is Board Chairman of the National Sports Authority (NSA), for the Sports Minister, Mustapha Ussif, wished the competitors outcome in the titles and emphasized government's obligation to the advancement of the game.
"For the benefit of the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Mustapha Ussif, and individuals of Ghana, I might want to utilize this event to want you to enjoy all that life has to offer in the World Athletics titles.
"I realize you need to win since you are conceived victors. Do right by yourselves, do right by your families, and do right by Ghana.
"Games has been a banner conveyor for us as a country and government is focused on assisting you with prevailing in your picked calling," he expressed.
"We owe ourselves and Ghanaians an obligation to succeed. We should venture out there and do right by ourselves!"
