Morocco out of control fires: Toxic smoke and seething bursts

 

Out of control fires have cleared across parts of northern Morocco over the most recent couple of days, in the woodlands of Taza, Tetouan and Larache, prompting scenes of seething hellfires and tufts of thick smoke.

"The intensity causes this sort of fire. It was yesterday at day break that the fire arrived at our town," Ahmed Mezouar, 58, said.

 

"We are apprehensive for our homes," he proceeded, however said he was ok for the present.

 

Another man told how he had arrived at wellbeing.

 

"I was with my family, and at a certain point, we heard individuals yelling, 'Fire! Fire!'" Samir Boundad, who is from Larache, said.

 

"We headed out to escape and luckily, on account of God, the fire climbed the mountain."
