1. Edouard Mendy

Based on his performances for Chelsea and the Senegal national team, Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy is currently ranked as the best African player in the world.

Mendy helped Senegal win the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations and Chelsea reach the Champions League semi-finals in the previous season.

Mendy is a possible candidate for the FIFA best goalkeeper award for the 2021/22 season, based on his performances throughout the previous season.

Hakimi 2

Following his successful season with PSG in the recently concluded Ligue 1 season, PSG defender Hakimi climbed to the second spot on the list.

Despite being a defender, Hakimi helped PSG score over 12 goals last season. The Moroccan fullback also took home the Ligue 1 title.

Sebastien Haller is third.

Following his successful debut in the Champions League with Ajax, Haller is currently ranked as the third best African footballer in the world.

Haller won two major titles with Ajax last season, including the Eredivisie golden boot. His outstanding performances for Ajax last season prompted Borussia Dortmund to sign him as a replacement for Erling Haaland.

Riyad Mahrez is number four.

Following his performances for Manchester City in competitions last season, Mahrez, who failed to defend his AFCON title last season, rose to fourth place on the list.

Sadio Mane 5

Sadio Mane, on the other hand, is currently ranked as the world's fifth best African player, despite losing the Champions League final to Real Madrid last season. More information can be found in the photo below.

While Robert Lewandowski is set to join FC Barcelona, speculation about who will take his place in the upcoming season is heating up. In recent days, Bayern Munich has been heavily linked with a move for Cristiano Ronaldo. According to consistent media reports, Ronaldo's first choice for a summer change is the German record champions. The 37-year-old is eager to depart from Manchester United.

The five-time World Cup winner, according to club president Oliver Kahn, does not fit the Munich philosophy. The sports network "ESPN" in the United States is opposed to it. As a result, Bayern is closely monitoring the current situation surrounding the Portuguese, despite publicly disavowing his commitment. In addition to FCB, Atletico Madrid should be keeping an eye on Ronaldo.

Interestingly, the Ronaldo camp is also waiting, according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano on Friday. Romano is confident that CR7 advisor Jorge Mendes will return to Bayern: "Mendes intends to return to Bayern because he believes the club's stance on Cristiano Ronaldo's commitment will change when Robert Lewandowski leaves." Bayern are currently saying 'no,' but Mendes will try until the end.

Mendes and Bayern executives recently communicated after the agent actively attempted to place Ronaldo with the German record champions. It will be interesting to see if those in charge of the Isar change their minds. According to reports, FCB coach Julian Nagelsmann is interested in signing Ronaldo.
