Drake and Sophie have come a long way, it's safe to assume that their relationship has evolved too. However, fans accused him of disrespecting Sophie, in his 2020 song When to Say When. In the song, he referred to Brussaux as a "fluke" and was called out on it. However, some fans defended the rapper and claimed he probably used the word positively.
It's unclear as to why he referred to Sophie that way, considering he'd spoken highly of her previously. According to Cosmopolitan, during an appearance on Lebron James's show, the shop. Drake talked about fatherhood and his relationship with his son's mother.
He revealed, "I'm still learning to communicate with a woman who, you know, we’ve had our moments. I do want to be able to explain to my son what happened. But I don’t have any desire for him to not love his mother. I don’t ever want the world to be angry at his mother. We have found ourselves in a situation, and we are both equally responsible. Now, I’m just really excited to be a great father."
He added, "No matter what happens, I have unconditional love for the mother of my child because I want him to love his mother and I have to project that energy."
Whatever the case may be, the duo seems to be on good terms and want what's best for their son. Sophie allegedly even moved to Canada to be closer to Drake, in order for them to co-parent more easily.
