Although Tottenham was one of the more active teams in the transfer market this summer, Antonio Conte may not be able to capitalize on every acquisition. Tottenham has already added five new players, but Richarlison's £60 million contract has drawn criticism.

According to former manager Harry Redknapp, Richarlison might be a "challenge" for Antonio Conte at Tottenham.

Following his £60 million summer transfer from Everton, the Brazilian has been given the No. 9 shirt at Tottenham, beating out clubs like Barcelona and Chelsea in the process. The 25-year-old was instrumental in Everton's eventual escape from relegation last season after scoring 10 Premier League goals.

As Dejan Kulusevski has excelled since joining the squad on loan in January and Harry Kane and Son Heung-min are also expected to start, several supporters have speculated on Richarlison's position in the lineup. One of them, according to Redknapp, a former manager of Tottenham himself, is that Conte might find Richarlison to be an issue behind the scenes.

Richarlison is one of five players signed this summer; Yves Bissouma, a former midfielder for Brighton, received a £30 million transfer fee, and Fraser Forster and Ivan Perisic also arrived for free. Richarlison stands out for Redknapp among all the recruits, despite the fact that Clement Lenglet came over on loan from Barcelona.

Speaking at the debut of SPITCH's brand-new season mode, Redknapp exclusively admitted to Express Sport that he was "not sure about Richarlison actually." He hasn't decided where or even if he will play. He doesn't seem like the kind of young man who will be a happy bunny if he doesn't play, in my opinion. I believe he will be a problem if he is not on the team.

"But I believe he may be a problem at Tottenham if he is not in the starting lineup. I'm still undecided about Richarlison, but I like their other signings. The team seems capable. I like Bissouma, the young man from Brighton. What a solid signing!

Richarlison is renowned for having a short fuse, and the Brazilian has shown during his time at Watford and Everton that he has the ability to get under the skin of an opponent when necessary. And the Tottenham fans will be excited by that quality because they have been missing a player with that quality ever since Erik Lamela left.

However, the Brazilian is valued significantly higher than Lamela and commands a considerable fee to support that. Richarlison is expected to be utilized frequently and Conte might be able to maintain harmony if the five-sub rule is in effect.

Redknapp expressed his reservations about Richarlison, but he didn't dispute that he was Everton's greatest player since he was being honest in his evaluation of the team at a trying time. Redknapp has informed Frank Lampard he's been left with an average group after Everton narrowly avoided relegation.

Redknapp continued, "Unfortunately, they've made awful investments throughout the years. He now has a fairly ordinary group left. He has that issue. It's awful that they had to sell their top players, Richarlison has left, Gordon might follow.
