NOLLYWOOD STAR JENIFA ANNOUNCES MOVE INTO POLITICS

Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has postponed her almost 25-year acting career in order to pursue her political goals.

 

She acknowledged her nomination as the Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) deputy governorship candidate for Lagos state in a video she uploaded to Instagram.

 

 

 

She serves as Jandor's deputy. Dr. Olajide Adediran, a PDP candidate for governor.

 

 

 

As Jennifer, Funke Akindele said, "I consider this new era of my life as a larger chance to serve mankind, especially working relentlessly to better the lives of youngsters in Lagos." "I am a Lagosian born in Ikorodu, therefore when the PDP governor-elect invited me to serve as his deputy governor, I viewed it as a chance to assist free and enhance the welfare of our people, especially the underprivileged young, women, and girl child."

 

 

 

 

 

The actress declared, "My choice is not just to embrace this enormous duty, but also to ensure that our beloved Lagos realises its full potential with the people as its direct beneficiaries.

 

 

 

 

 

She pleaded with Lagos people to support her and Jandor in their efforts to make the city a better place for everyone.

"Over the years, many young people have been neglected or victimised for daring to pursue their dreams, therefore I would want to use this occasion to criticise all well-meaning citizens of the country, particularly the young people. It is definitely time to unite and assist one another, as well as to make the most of our large number.

 

 

 

 

 

In order to bring about change in her nation, Funke Akindele said that taking the position of deputy governor is a duty she takes very seriously.

 

 

 

"I'm conscious of the toll that this assignment will have on my flourishing career, which I now have to put on hold. It requires a significant personal sacrifice, but I've vowed that no sacrifice is too great for the realising the vital task to save our beautiful state and its people.
