Majority Leader urges Committees with references to facilitate work
Mr. Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, the Majority Leader and Leader of Government Business in Parliament, has asked Committees of the House with references to facilitate work on same for the thought of the House.
Introducing the Business for the 10th seven day stretch of the Second Meeting of the Second Session of the Eighth Parliament for the week finishing Friday, July 22, Mr. Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu repeated that excepting any unanticipated turns of events, the House was supposed to conclude sine pass on Thursday, July 28th.
He noticed that the early deferment of the House was to empower the Speaker and different individuals from Leadership of the House to partake in a legal global gathering scheduled between the last seven day stretch of July and the primary seven day stretch of August.
"Mr. Speaker, having respect to this turn of events, the Business Committee is again asking Committees with references to speedily chip away at same for thought of the House," he said.
"In this vein, the Committee is likewise encouraging the different Ministries, Departments and Agencies' (MDAs) to present to Parliament any earnest Government Business that would require the consideration of the House before deferment sine bite the dust."
The Majority Leader expressed according to the Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (Act 921), the Minister of Finance was supposed to introduce the Mid-Year Review of the Budget Statement and Economic Policy of the Government of Ghana for the 2022 Financial Year to the House on Monday, July 25th.
He spoke to Members of the House to benefit themselves for the introduction of the Mid-Year Review Budget Statement.
He noticed that remarks on the Budget Statement were booked for Thursday, July 26th, adding that Leadership would finish up the remarks with their own entries on the Statement on Wednesday, July 27th.
"The Business Committee anticipates a vivacious, well-informed and educated remarks on the Economic Policy regarding the Government for the year 2022."
Mr Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu said for the following week, nine clergymen were supposed to go to upon the House to address 64 inquiries - five critical and 59 orals.
