Cristiano Ronaldo’s options are getting slimmer as the transfer window continues-to close down, Paris Saint Germain became the latest club, to rule out a transfer for the Portugal international, who expressed a desire to leave Old Trafford. The 37-year-old is said to be interested in playing for a club that is in the UCL.
The Portuguese international has told Manchester United that he wants to leave the club this summer, in order to join a team that will be competitive in the Champions League next season. He hasn’t travelled with the rest of the United squad on their pre-season tour due to personal reasons, which isn’t a good omen for his stay in Manchester United beyond this summer.
However the interest has been muted, with very few clubs being linked to the 37-year-old. This PSG news comes after it was reported by that Chelsea were offered the Manchester United striker by his agent, Jorge Mendes but Thomas Tuchel is said to be not interested on the prospect of signing an older attacker.
Where Jorge Mendes goes from here is unknown, as the reality that Ronaldo could be stuck at Manchester United grows more likely. Man Utd FC will want this situation sorted quickly as they do not want it affecting their pre-season ahead of a crucial first campaign for Erik Ten-Hag.
The reason is said to be that PSG do not feel that Ronaldo is the right signing for them at this moment and that the club does not have enough space in their wage bill to pay the 37-year old. Also, from a sporting perspective there are also concerns that there is not a room for him in the team with the current front three the PSG club currently have.
Bayern Munich;
Cristiano’s agent Jorge Mendes reportedly approached Bayern Munich over a possible transfer, but the Bavarians who recently signed Sadio Mane and extend Gnabry’s contract are said to be not interested in the Five Times Ballon Dor winner.
