Manchester United are among various clubs who have been connected with RB Leipzig star Christopher Nkunku, in spite of the fact that it appears the six-time France international won't leave Germany. RB Leipzig star Christopher Nkunku has stopped talks he will pass on Germany this summer in the midst of links to Manchester United.

The France international purportedly had a clause in his agreement that would permit him to leave the Bundesliga side one year from now, suggesting he could finish a potential move this summer. Erik ten Hag's side were among the clubs interested in the previous Paris Saint-Germain forward, with Real Madrid also connected.

In any case, Nkunku last month put pen to paper on an extended agreement extension that will keep him at the Bundesliga club until 2026 after a 2021/22 mission that saw the 24-year-old score 35 goals in 52 appearances in all competitions, assisting Leipzig with arriving at the semi-finals of the Europa League and finish fourth in the Bundesliga, as well as winning the DFB Pokal.

Reports from LVZ (published by AS) guaranteed that speculation surrounding the mysterious clause in the agreement was false, with the France international now secured at Leipzig for the following four seasons.

"I didn't recharge to leave the club one year from now," said Nkunku, as detailed by AS, with all things considered, the forward's future remains focussed on succeeding with Leipzig.Nkunku has spent the past three years in the Bundesliga with Leipzig, going along with them from PSG in the summer of 2019 in an arrangement worth around €13 million (£11.1m) plus additional items. In that time, Nkunku has scored 47 goals in 136 appearances.

United were among clubs connected with Nkunku. Nonetheless, it might seem improbable that they splash the cash on another forward this summer, with reports suggesting that United boss Ten Hag has been told to get the best out of Anthony Martial instead of signing a substitution.

After a mission that saw Martial get sent out borrowed to Sevilla, where he neglected to net a single goal in La Liga, he has responded so far in vehement fashion, scoring in both of United's pre-season accommodating wins over Liverpool and Melbourne Victory this week.

So far, United have finished two signings in this summer's window. They first signed Netherlands international left-back Tyrell Malacia in a move worth up to £15m recently.

On Friday, the Red Devils multiplied their number of acquisitions in the wake of signing previous Tottenham and Inter Milan midfielder Christian Eriksen on a free transfer after his summer exit from Brentford.

United also stay in the chase to sign midfielder Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona, as well as Ajax focus back Lisandro Martinez.
