Thomas Tuchel, the manager of CHELSEA, is currently starting up his summer transfer activity.
According to former Blues striker Tony Cascarino, Chelsea has bought a player who is essentially a combination of Antonio Rudiger and Vincent Kompany. Kalidou Koulibaly was signed by Chelsea this week, and Cascarino believes he will be a great addition for Thomas Tuchel.
Koulibaly's transfer to the Premier League had been rumored for a while. And in a £34 million deal, Chelsea has finally got him to England.
After Rudiger and Andreas Christensen left at the end of their contracts, Tuchel was in search of replacement defenders. Koulibaly, in the opinion of Cascarino, is a superb alternative for the German and resembles Vincent Kompany, a former captain of Manchester City.
He stated on SPORT: "Because he is a players' player, or a strong, no-nonsense guy, the fans will adore him. He resembles Rudiger somewhat, who they had with Thiago Silva.
"He will be a great signing, in my opinion. He receives a four-year contract instead of their one-year deals and entering your 30s model.

"They have signed him to a four-year contract, which only serves to demonstrate how various models are created. He is the kind of player that Chelsea supporters will adore.
"Straight-talking, a la Kompany, just gets to work. Some claim he isn't technically proficient enough, but I think that's unfair.
"He has Thiago Silva at his side, who can undoubtedly dominate in maintaining the ball, so he can [carry the ball out]. Therefore, I believe that this week was a really, really fantastic one for acquisitions because Chelsea added two significant players in Sterling and Koulibaly."
As a fellow Senegalese international and goalie for Chelsea, Koulibaly will play in front of Edouard Mendy. And Mendy has provided Chelsea supporters with information about the 31-year-old.

I've known Kalidou for a while, he said on the club's website. We were initially in the same room when I first met him and when I received my first call-up, so the experience was incredible. He was the first to welcome me into the national team.
"If you speak about his attributes on the field, I believe I will let the public and Chelsea supporters see this player and I hope they will like seeing him. Everyone knows he's a top athlete, but he's also a top guy, which makes him a great addition to the locker room.
"We need someone of his caliber since he enjoys responsibility while yet being jovial with everyone. And I believe that everyone will be pleased with him and what they see.
Every year, there was a connection between Chelsea and Kalidou in the media. This year, it actually occurs, so I'm happy!
