Manchester United have finally entered the market, and Christian Eriksen was unveiled as the club's second signing of the summer on Friday, following the announcement of Tyrell Malacia's arrival earlier this month.

After impressing at Brentford last season, the 30-year-old was a free agent and was chosen to strengthen Erik ten Hag's midfield, an area he had identified as in need of reinforcements.
Eriksen has signed a three-year contract at Old Trafford, and his signing has been lauded by many United fans, with Bastian Schweinsteiger the latest to react.
"Exciting news for the football world," Schweinsteiger said on Twitter. "I'm very happy for Christian Eriksen that he has regained his old strength and can reward himself by signing with a fantastic football club."

Schweinsteiger stayed at United for 18 months after being signed by Louis van Gaal, but the German legend struggled to persuade Jose Mourinho, who eventually approved his sale.
Eriksen has shown extraordinary courage and resilience in his recovery from a cardiac arrest nearly a year ago, and few could have predicted him signing for United in the aftermath of that incident.
When he joined Brentford, the former Tottenham and Inter Milan star took the Premier League by storm, and he definitely improves the squad at Old Trafford.
He was a regular for Brentford, but he'll face stiff competition at United, with Bruno Fernandes currently occupying his preferred position. He has recently been conditioned to play deeper, more Schweinsteiger-like roles.
