Robert Lewandowski, a striker for Bayern Munich, is expected to sign with Barcelona this weekend.

After a deal was finally reached with Bayern Munich, ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI'S transfer to Barcelona is expected to be announced this week's end.

The 33-year-old striker, who has openly expressed his intention to leave the Bundesliga winners in May, has been a key target for the Blaugrana this late spring.

The Poland international made it plain that he will not extend his eight-year contract once he reached the final year of his agreement at the Allianz Arena.

Additionally, after rejecting a £34 million offer for the striker, the German monsters have now reluctantly accepted a deal from the LaLiga team.

According to SunSport, a deal worth up to £42.5 million has been completed, with Barca agreeing to pay £38 million up front before another £4.5 million in potential add-ons.

It is agreed that Lewandowski will sign a four-year contract at the Nou Camp that would last until 2026.

Moving on, transfer master Fabrizio Romano claimed that the former Borussia Dortmund shooter would sign his contract before the week's end.

He further stated that the player rejected offers from Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain because he was only interested in the Catalan club.

The Blues have lost out to Barca twice in late spring when the Spanish team purchased Raphinha from Leeds for £55 million.

To pry Kalidou Koulibaly away from Napoli after confirming his £34 million appearance, Chelsea defeated Barcelona in the competition.

Lewandowski was displeased with Bayern when they failed to make him a compelling offer for a new contract, as Romano also revealed.

Additionally, this prompted him to search for a leave, where he in February agreed to individual terms with Barca.

Robert Lewandowski's desire to leave Bayern was evident in February, and he tweeted that he was disappointed that he hadn't received a "serious" offer for a new contract.
