Thomas Tuchel might need to adjust Chelsea's future acquisition strategies.
Thomas Tuchel, the manager of Chelsea, acknowledges that he will now look into a player's vaccination history when searching the transfer market. N'Golo Kante and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are presently on their preseason tour of the United States without Chelsea.
Both Kante and Loftus-Cheek lack the COVID-19 vaccine. They are therefore practicing and competing for the club's under-23 team back in the UK because they were unable to travel to the United States.
According to Tuchel, he would still sign some unvaccinated players. He stated: "I have several players in mind who I would also take unvaccinated. I must admit."
But he acknowledges that it is something to take into account. Yes, it must, the German replied.
In a Saturday under-23s game at Boreham Wood, Kante and Loftus-Cheek both played. Although Tuchel acknowledges that leaving the pair behind was not ideal, he maintains that the club cannot compel players to get the shot.

He said, "He is getting ready with Ruben. They cannot be coerced into receiving the vaccine. At this time, deciding to be vaccinated is fairly common.
"Both players made the choice to refrain. The regulations must be followed. They can't come with us. They are aware of the repercussions. It bothers us. Obviously not.
Even though it's not the best option, we would love to have them here. Not at all. However, once the situation is this dire, a solution must be found.
So, their coaches are present. The Under-23s use them for training. Then they join the Under-19s so that they are somewhat in a group. But it won't make up for it. It won't be the same anymore.

Tuchel believes Kante could benefit from being on his own personal program away from the first-team squad for the time being given his physical issues from last season. "For N'Golo that is perhaps not even the worst thing to do," he remarked of the Frenchman.
"We are able to give him a very specific load. Because N'Golo is N'Golo and everyone is aware of his importance to our team, I don't believe he will require much time to adjust to our style of play.
The contracts of Kante and fellow midfielder Jorginho expire at the end of the upcoming campaign. And Tuchel doesn't want the circumstances that led to Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen leaving this summer for nothing to happen again.
Everyone is aware of the problem, according to Tuchel. not just with Jorginho but also with N'Golo.
We are against this, and we were aware of the Andreas and Toni scenario. Therefore, we are working to find a solution in the club's best interests.
