Fikayo Tomori, an AC Milan star and former Chelsea defender, is supposedly a player Manchester United is interested in signing.

Manchester United has reportedly indicated interest in signing the 24-year-old centre back, who was instrumental in the Rossoneri's first Serie A championship since 2011.

Tomori was a huge success on loan from Chelsea the season before, and Milan paid £26 million for him last summer (according to Transfermarkt).

The center-half played in 40 games last season, and thanks to his efforts in Italy, Gareth Southgate called him back into the senior England group in June.

According to the aforementioned report, Tomori, whose contract expires in 2025, is not interested in going back to England during this transfer window. Instead, the Milan hierarchy wants to keep him at the San Siro for an additional two years.

Rumor has it that the Red Devils are in a rush to sign a first-choice center-back this summer. Last season, they allowed more Premier League goals than Burnley, who were relegated, and club captain Harry Maguire came under particular fire from fans for this.

Manchester United needs to add talent in these positions this summer, according to Rio Ferdinand.

The legendary defender Ferdinand has recently been outspoken in his criticism of his former team because of their subpar performances.

The Manchester Evening News said that the former England captain said that despite spending a lot of money on Jadon Sancho last summer, the Red Devils still needed to strengthen their alternatives on the right wing.

The right-wing spot for Manchester United, according to Ferdinand, is a challenge because Martial, Sancho, and Rashford are all more effective when playing on the left. So, you have Elanga, who is probably also better on the left side.

"You've got four players there, all jostling for one position, and they're probably better positioned on the left," the former Manchester United defender continued. I believe Man United has to make investments at right wing. If they can get Martial out, they'll have to try to get rid of him. I believe they will release him.

Marcus Rashford, a forward, was singled out by Ferdinand. Marcus Rashford, a forward, was singled out by Ferdinand "Given that Rashford's performance last year was rather hit-and-miss due to injuries and other factors, I believe the club and fan base will be expecting more from him this year. I believe this is a new beginning. According to what I'm hearing from the new manager, he seems revitalised. I want to see the Marcus I remember from back then."
