Taraba state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has kicked against Muslim-Muslim ticket.
Recall that the All progressives Congress (APC) and its presidential candidate Bola Tinubu have been lashed at since their decision to fly a Muslim-Muslim ticket was made public.
Taraba PDP said such a move is a suicide for the unity of Nigeria and her democracy.
Mr. Andeta’rang Irammae, the state publicity secretary of the PDP who spoke on behalf of the party with our correspondent in Jalingo, explained that the APC decision was against the Constitution of Nigeria that holds the unity of the citizens democratically wise.
He expressed that the idea was purely a plan to divide the country since Nigerians would not accept to be Islamized.
“The APC and Tinubu’s decision for same religion ticket is a suicide for our country Nigeria. It is against the Constitution that holds the unity of our democracy.
“Nigerians should ignore the APC and her presidential candidate Bola Tinubu and vote for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar who believes in the unity of Nigeria and her democracy.
“God has just exposed Senator Tinubu and his followers who are against the unity of Nigeria.
Tinubu’s choice of Senator Shettima is a negligence to the entire Christian and is capable of bringing disunity among religious groups and Nigerians,” the statement reads.
