Georgino Wijnaldum, a Dutch international, has struggled since switching from Liverpool to Paris Saint-Germain one year ago and is frequently criticized by fans and media.
The preseason trip to Japan for Paris Saint-Germain does not include Georginio Wijnaldum.
After being excluded from Paris Saint-preseason Germain's tour to Japan, Georginio Wijnaldum's time at the club appears to be done.
Since joining PSG on a free transfer from Liverpool a year ago, the Netherlands international has struggled to win over PSG fans. Despite making 38 appearances for the Parisian club, he was even given the nickname "Ligue 1 Flop of the Year" by a French news outlet.
It's not the first time Wijnaldum has come under fire from detractors. The midfielder spoke about the harassment he experienced on social media when Liverpool lost last summer. He even cited it as one of the factors behind his decision to leave Jurgen Klopp's team for a fresh start at PSG.
Wijnaldum claimed in July of last year that "when it went wrong, I was the player they blamed, that I wanted to leave." "If we fell short, I was the one who received criticism on social media.
"Wow, there was a time when I thought that. If only they understood what I did to keep in shape and participate in every game. Other athletes may have admitted, "OK, I'm not fit." There are players who are in their final year that say things like:
"Wow, there was a time when I thought that. If only they understood what I did to keep in shape and participate in every game. Other athletes may have admitted, "OK, I'm not fit." There are athletes in their final year who say, "I'm not playing because it's risky." I went the other way."
Wijnaldum played 237 appearances in just five seasons as a regular under Klopp. In his final season on Merseyside, he participated in every Premier League match. At the age of just 31, he has already made close to 700 senior appearances for club and country.

Wijnaldum continued, "My impression was that there were two different types of fans: those in the stadium and those on social media. I always had the support of the stadium patrons. even after they returned. They continued to support me despite already knowing that I would depart, and in the end, they bid me a heartfelt farewell.
"There was a rumour that Liverpool made an offer, I didn't accept because I wanted more money, and the fans made it like: 'OK, he didn't get the offer, so he doesn't try his hardest to win games,'" the midfielder continued. Then, the outcomes weren't all that great, and it seemed like everything was working against me. At times, I wondered, "Wow, me again?" It's a cooperative.
"However, I never got the impression from my teammates that I let them down, was being a jerk, or anything similar. Everything went smoothly with the team."
After a dismal season for PSG, Wijnaldum came under fire from critics. Despite winning back the Ligue 1 crown, Real Madrid eliminated them from the Champions League, and they were unsuccessful in their bids for the Coupe de France and Trophee des Champions.
Wijnaldum has ultimately paid the price after falling short of PSG's high expectations after being excluded from their preseason tour. PSG's manager Mauricio Pochettino lost his job earlier this month as a result of the club's failure to compete in Europe.
Christophe Galtier, a former manager of Lille, has replaced Pochettino. He has won the Ligue 1 Manager of the Year award three times, and his goal is to lead PSG to their first European Championship. Galtier's plans for Wijnaldum are unlikely to include him, and he could need to find a new team.
