Living with pastor and his wife was like a blessing to me and my child Chinaza.
Many gifts were coming here and there, the school I was teaching sent their gratitude to me and I appreciated them. Chinaza was growing so fast and beautiful, she was the darling of everybody even doctor Richard never stopped visiting us from time to time.
I resumed my teaching work after 5months of giving birth to Chinaza, the only time u will see her with me is only when she need breastfeeding, many teachers and pupils likes her a lot.
Doctor Richard conducted a surprised birthday party for Chinaza in her one year. It surprised me and everybody but he asked us not to bother that he likes Chinaza.
That day, after the party Richard asked me to see him off, I went out with him.
“Am glad that u are a strong woman Debby”he said as he sat in his car.
“Thank u, am glad for all ur helps towards me and my child and i must always say, thanks to u doctor”I poured my gratitude to him but he smiled.
“Am doing what I supposed to do and that’s all, look Debby, I want to make u my woman, I love u” he said and it irritated me so bad.
“Excuse me, tell me that u are joking”I said.
“For from joke pls, I love and….
“Enough!! Okay, u want to use the benefit that am a single mother to get what u want from me?”I asked boiling in anger.
“No…no…no!! Debby! I mean every word I said to u now!”he continued but i couldn’t bear it anymore.
“To hell with ur love, if it’s because of the money u forfeited in the hospital bill am ready to pay u back.
For ur information, I don’t want to see u again, not even close to my child, rubbish!!”I blasted him and left with anger.
When I came back the pastor’s wife noticed my mood, I tried lying for her but she kept asking me what the problem was till I explained everything to her.
“C’mon Debby, U wouldn’t have talk to him like that nah, it’s so harsh and u ‘re a woman u know?” She asked.
“How can someone tell me about love after what I passed through because of love? I can’t and i will never discuss or love anyone in this life again! Chinaza is my everything”I said.
“I know but u wouldn’t have talk to him like that nah, u would have at least be polite to doctor Richard Debby considering all his hospitality towards u and ur child since u gave birth”she said and I sighed in anger.
