Bayern Munich's head coach, Julian Nagelsmann, has said that he is "not concerned" despite the loss of his team's best striker, Robert Lewandowski.
With one year remaining on his contract, the 33-year-old, who finished last season with 50 goals, was pushing for a transfer away from the Allianz Arena. Barcelona granted his dream on Saturday by scoring his 50th goal of the year.
Even though the overall cost is expected to be €50 million when additional elements are taken into account, Nagelsmann doesn't appear concerned about having the opportunity to replace the powerful charm.
"Robert Lewandowski played at Bayern for eight amazing years. He told BR24 that it would be difficult to replace him.
We are doing so well right now that I'm not worried; in fact, I have no idea what to do.
Without a striker who can consistently score 40 goals, FC Bayern can still advance.
For me, my coaching team, Oliver Kahn, the CEO, and Hasan Salihamidzic, the sporting director, it's a fantastic endeavor.
Bayern has been actively pursuing Liverpool's Sadio Mane, and right back Noussair Mazraoui and midfielder Ryan Gravenberch are recent acquisitions from Ajax.
Since Serge Gnabry renewed his contract with the Bundesliga champions on Saturday, Nagelsmann truly has a wide range of striker choices at his disposal.
While Joshua Zirkzee, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, and rookie Mane, who commonly played for Liverpool through the heart of the attack last season, are still with the team, they combined for 18 goals in 47 games while on loan at Anderlecht last season.
"With Sadio Mane, we marked a guy who played a great deal as Liverpool's focal forward last season, who is a different kind of player than Lewy, not an exceptional striker," Nagelsmann stated.
But with two emphasis advances, I assume we also have a large work force at our disposal.
