NPP nat'l leader races: It is appalling TESCON delegates were banned from casting a ballot - Gabby
New Patriotic Party (NPP) robust, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, has weeped over the failure of agents from the different tertiary schooling part of the party to cast a ballot in the party's chief races.
He showed that the Tertiary Students' Confederacy (TESCON) delegates are future erudite people of the party and they not participating in that frame of mind of the following administration of the party was a mistake, asaaseradio.com reports.
"I believe that it is exceptionally appalling that the scholarly center point of the party [TESCON] isn't permitted to cast a ballot," Otchere-Darko is cited to have said as an afterthought lines of the NPP Delegates Conference.
Likewise, Assin Central Member of Parliament Kennedy Agyapong Kennedy said that the order that banned the TESCON individuals from casting a ballot was off-base.
He added that the applicant who put the order on the understudies will find it hard to work with them assuming the individual is important for the chiefs chosen.
"I'm against the order on TESCON individuals… I'm extremely disheartened. My inquiry is, the person who put the directive on them, expecting he wins, is he arranged to work with the TESCON public?" he addressed.
Something like 306 agents of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have been banned from participating in the party's National Executive Elections to choose its leaders for the following four years.
This decreases the complete number of representatives for the political race from 6,730 to 6,424.
The Chairman of the National Election Committee of the NPP, Peter Mac Manu, who revealed this said the impacted agents incorporate the Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON)) representatives and some nearby intermediary delegates.
"… the congress has been hit with an order against the TESCON delegates and the neighborhood intermediary delegates. Thus, this gathering won't cast a ballot," he said at the occasion which was held at the Accra Sports Stadium.
He added that the intermediary delegates were 15 in number and the TESCON delegates 291.
