Exactly one week ago today, the entire Puffien community was thrown into a state of excitement and merriment. People all over the world were beaming with smiles. What caused this endless joy among people? They simply woke up to a new dawn. A new dawn full of blessings, fulfillment, optimism and life. The facial expressions of the people depicted that the age-old prayer, desire, hope and expectation - the coronation of Naa Dr. Naadeb Tierubore Tanzu Benon V.
Naa Dr. Naadeb Tierubore Tanzu Benon V was popularly known as Mr Francis Benon. This is a man whose personality appeals to many. His charming smiles and bright eyes make his visitors comfortable in front of him.
A person who respects and is respected so much. A man who humbles himself regardless of your social status. It is forward-looking, development-oriented; very articulate and confident. He is a passionate lover of fun. He is traditionally inclined. He socializes and establishes good relationships with people. He is a people-loving person, very caring but disciplined.
Naa Dr. Naadeb Tierubore Tanzu Benon V is a man of principle, highly disciplined and determined. He did not allow anything to compromise his principles. He is focused, morally upright, self-motivated and dedicated. He is a workaholic. Indeed, his singular and enviable career teaches many shining lessons, and many young people hope to model their actions after the noble examples he sets. In all that he does he is guided by high ideals, and his unswerving devotion to duty has made his methods and work most efficient. These were some of the qualities that drove him to rise through the ranks of the prison service. He retired as Deputy Director of the Ghana Prison Service. He is a highly technical security expert.
Coronation
Naa Dr. Naadeb Tierubore Tanzu Benon V was officially opened on 9 July 2022 at Puffien School Park in Nandom. The event was phenomenal. People from all walks of life were present to celebrate this historic and memorable event with him. Distinguished guests who were also on the program include the Principal Chief of Nandom Traditional Area Naa Prof, Edmond Nwinyem Delle Chiir VIII, Chief, Member of Parliament and Relative of Burkina Faso, Member of Parliament for Nandom Constituency and Interior Minister - Guest of Honour, former General Director of the Ghana Prison Service and a personal friend of Chief Puffien Dr. Richard Kuuire, Hon. City Manager for Nandom and many more.

Naa Dr. As a passionate peace loving and development oriented person, Naadeb Tierubore Tanzu Benon V succinctly carved out a theme for the event that reflected his vision – “Unifying Puffien Traditional Area for Development: Dawn of a New Era”. Naa Dr. Growing up as a young man, Benon V holds the country's norms and traditional values ??in high esteem. He got this through youth gatherings for fun during their time.
Youth and traditional values
In his speech Naa Dr. Benon V lamented the waning interest of the youth these days to group together for storytelling, riddles and poetry recitals by the elders during the moonlight as they used to do. He said: “We have observed a decline in youth gathering for entertainment or socio-economic activities such as communal works and agricultural activities. It is really very sad to say that there are no more youth gatherings for moonlight fun, nor do the young sit around the old people to tell stories, recite riddles and what have you”. Naa Dr. Benon V went further and questioned the manner in which our most cherished norms and values ??would be passed on to the next generation. He asked: “How can traditions, our norms and values ??be passed on under such circumstances? He said: “It is possible to attribute 'modernisation' as a causal factor, but should we modernize to disrupt our culture or tradition? Without mincing words, he therefore declared that his government would take care of the overhaul of all important social groupings that advance socio-economic development. “A new era has now dawned on Puffien, and in this era the Sub-Chiefs, Elders and I are on the agenda of remaking the social groupings necessary for socio-economic development. He said that only through this can they pass on a true identity as Puffienme to future generations.
Education
Naa Dr. Naadeb Tierubore Tanzu Benon V used the opportunity to call on the Member of Parliament, Hon. Ambrose Dery to practically bring infrastructure development beyond the usual political rhetoric and verbal reassurances to the Puffien people. He stated, "Let me take this opportunity to appeal to the most distinguished guest of honor and Member of Parliament for Nandom Constituency that Puffienme's positive responses to political challenges be followed by physical infrastructural development on par beyond verbal assurances". He lamented the ever-widening development gap in the Puffien community that needs urgent attention. He said Puffien primary and secondary schools, which have produced a lot of elites in and around the surrounding communities, need serious renovation and teaching and learning materials.
Road
The Most Revered Chief of the Puffien Traditional Area, Naa Dr. Naandeb Tierubore Tanzu Benon V said the people of Puffien congratulated the MP and the government for connecting the communities. They also hoped that these roads would be tarred to connect the Nandom-Hamile road. The Chief assured the MP and MCE of his commitment to work with them in delivering their development agenda for Puffien and Nandom as a whole.
Tourism
A highly respected and venerable boss announced to the general public that the legendary xylophone player Bergyire hails from Puffien. He said that information reaching him indicates that some people are claiming that the great xylophone player is from their community and therefore want to ascribe his good works to themselves. He went further and promised to facilitate the construction of the Bergyire Cultural Centre.
Naa Dr. Naadeb Tierubore Tanzu Benon V used the event to properly launch The Puffien Development Fund. This fund, he said, would take care of the Bergyire Cultural Center and other development projects.
