Individual from Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto has proposed a proposals for government to consider in the midst of its IMF bailout and work tumults.

 

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, the MP recorded 10 ideas which he accepts will assist with tending to the current financial difficulties in the country.

 

The MP composed: My determination of earnest use cuts and substantial activities expected notwithstanding an IMF bailout and devastating work fomentations:

 

1) Suspend the unlawful public financing of the US$400million National Cathedral task for which government has up until this point redirected over GHS200million without parliamentary endorsement.

 

2) Renegotiate with proprietors of obliterated properties at the National Cathedral area for a conceded remuneration and save an expected US$100million.

 

3) Ban all oligarchic official contracted stream voyages which have cost enduring citizens in abundance of GHS34million throughout recent months.

 

4) Announce a prompt audit of Ghana's finish of administration benefits system and scrap all ex-gratia installments for political and non-political recipients.

 

5) Drastically diminish the quantity of Ministers, cancel Deputy CEO positions, excuse the CEO for the absurd non-existent Keta Port and cut the ridiculous 337 political nominees at the Office of the President by the greater part.

 

6) Cancel vanity activities, for example, the proposed new €116million new Accra International Conference Center venture, 5 STEM colleges, Boankra Green Technology City, Marine Drive Project, Stadia for Abuakwa and Sunyani, Agenda 111, new government offices in Trinidad and Tobago and Mexico.
