Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta praised forward Marquinhos in The Daily Mail, saying the youngster is performing admirably in training.
Marquinhos joined Arsenal from Brazilian giants Sao Paulo during the summer transfer window.
The Gunners paid a fee of £3 million (Goal) for the 19-year-old Brazilian forward.
Marquinhos has been praised by Arsenal manager Arteta, who has stated that he is training well.
The Spaniard has added, however, that the youngster needs to do more to meet the demands of the Premier League.
"First and foremost, we have to expose him here and see how he reacts to the environment," Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta told Marquinhos about The Daily Mail.
He is very physical and is handling the demands of our training session very well, but the next step is to compete. That's a different story for August 5 at Palace.
One to remember for the future
Marquinhos, in our opinion, is a future Arsenal player who will need time to adjust to life in England.
After all, Marquinhos is only 19 years old and only recently joined Arsenal.
The fact that the Brazilian teenager is training with Arsenal's first team demonstrates how good he is and how highly Arteta regards him.
Arsenal will almost certainly include Marquinhos in the youth team before gradually allowing him to play in the senior side.
Arsenal will compete in the UEFA Europa League next season, and the young forward may see some action.
