Ten Expensive Players Signed By Chelsea From Serie-A Teams

The most recent player from Serie-A to be acquired by Chelsea is Kalidou Koulibaly. One of the most expensive Serie-A signings, the center defender cost 38 million euros to join Chelsea. Romelu Lukaku was acquired by Chelsea from Inter Milan during the summer transfer window of 2021/22 for 113 million euros. The professional Belgian scored fewer than 20 goals for Chelsea in the 2021–2022 season, and this summer he was granted a loan return to Inter Milan. Lukaku is the most expensive Serie-A signing for Chelsea.Kalidou Koulibaly is not the first player Chelsea has acquired from Napoli, though. Jorginho was acquired by Chelsea for 57 million euros ahead of the 2018–19 campaign from Napoli. The English premier league team's current penalty taker is the midfielder. Emerson and Antonio Rudiger are two of Chelsea's three high-priced acquisitions from Roma. Although Emerson has spent the majority of his time at Chelsea as a backup player, Rudiger was highly successful at Chelsea as he helped the squad win several trophies before he left for Real Madrid this summer. Emerson is occasionally sent out on loan, but he has never been able to crack the regular starting lineup.Chelsea acquired Cuadrado and Marcos Alonso both from Serie-A. Furthermore, despite arriving at Chelsea at various times, both players were signed from Fiorentina. R. Quaresma, D. Zappacosta, and Gonzalo Higuain are three more expensive Serie-A players that Chelsea has signed. The majority of these players, including Higuain, fell short of the club's expectations. Apart from the new additions, Jorginho and Marcos Alonso are the only players on the list who will be playing for Chelsea's first team in the 2022–23 season.

Jurgen Klopp has secret weapon in Liverpool squad to combat Darwin Nunez

Darwin Nunez is the center of attention after joining Liverpool for £85 million, but Jurgen Klopp may have a secret tool to assist the Uruguayan attacker adjust.

The main topic of conversation during Liverpool's preseason tour of Asia has been Darwin Nunez's sluggish preseason performance, but Jurgen Klopp is unconcerned about his new £85 million player.

The Reds' manager has previously urged supporters to be patient with the former Benfica player, so it's doubtful that many will make too much of Nunez's two poor cameos, which came only weeks after he was signed for a new club record by Liverpool.Even for a player of Nunez's caliber, a period of adjustment is unavoidable when joining one of Europe's top teams; this is especially true at a team like Liverpool where it is virtually impossible to integrate into Klopp's demanding tactical philosophy.

Thiago Alcantara, a master of the midfield who has already sought to take Nunez under his wing, may be the ideal man for the Reds and Klopp to help the 23-year-old adapt to life at Liverpool.

Thiago, who was born in Italy to Brazilian parents, was seen in a video published on social media giving his new teammate some very serious instructions in Spanish.Nunez and the Reds' multilingual playmaker have the same language, which might be extremely helpful for Nunez as he adjusts to life at Anfield.

If anyone can help Nunez navigate the pressure of getting off to a fast start in the Premier League, it's Thiago who can draw on his own experiences living in England.Last season, the former Bayern Munich player had Liverpool supporters drooling. However, the slick technician hasn't had it all his own way since joining the Reds, and he initially found it difficult to live up to the high expectations that were set for him after his switch from the Bundesliga. Nunez is expected to be in a similar situation this season; the anticipation surrounding him is tangible following his 26 league goals in 28 outings for Benfica last season.Having someone like Thiago by his side might make all the difference for Nunez as he attempts to adjust to life under Klopp, especially given that he is still learning English.
