Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn says Tottenham hotspurs Harry Kane is a 'totally top striker' and 'a dream of the future to come for the Bundesliga giants.

Robert Lewandowski has joined Barcelona after Bayern at long last surrendered to the Pole's requests to move to Camp Nou.

It implies - without precedent for 10 years - the Germans are looking for another number nine to make up for the shortfall left by Lewandowski.

Kane was frantic to join Manchester City the previous summer however Spurs dismissed something like two proposals for the England skipper, who hesitantly remained in north London. The forward's contract runs until 2024 and Spurs are sharp for him to sign new terms.

Kane is without a doubt more joyful at the club than he was a year prior, with the 28-year-old inclination that the club is a veritable competitor for silverware under Antonio Conte.

A transfer to Bayern would nearly ensure silverware, with the Germans bringing home the last ten Bundesliga championships.

Furthermore, however, Kahn demands nothing is inevitable, he has recommended Bayern could take action for Kane the following summer.

'He is under agreement at Tottenham,' he told Bild.

'Without a doubt, he is an outright top striker, yet that is every one of them a fantasy representing things to come.

'So let's see what happens.'

With Lewandowski leaving, Bayern has been connected with a move for wantaway Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo.

The 37-year-old has made it clear to his desired club to pass on to play Champions League football.

Yet, Kahn says it would go contrary to Bayern's standards for them to sign the Portugal captain.

'I love Cristiano Ronaldo and everybody understands what a fabulous player he is,' said Kahn.

'However, every club has a specific way of thinking and I don't know whether it would be the right sign for Bayern in the event that we signed him.'
