Stade de Reims striker Hugo Ekitike has joined Paris Saint-Germain at first borrowed in an arrangement that could be made permanant, the French bosses affirmed on Saturday night. The arrangement is purportedly worth 35 million euros and sees Newcastle United's advantage in 20-year-old striker reach a conclusion.
Paris Saint-Germain have affirmed the marking of Hugo Ekitike from Stade de Reims.
The French striker has joined borrowed for the 2022/23 season and there is a choice to transform the arrangement into an extremely durable exchange.
Ekitike has played six times for the French international under-20 setup. Last season he scored 11 goals in 26 appearances for Reims.
He was heavily linked with a move to Newcastle in the January transfer window but now Ligue 1 champions PSG have confirmed the deal.
“Paris Saint-Germain are pleased to announce the signing of Hugo Ekitiké from Stade de Reims,” the club wrote on its official website
The arrangement - a €35m charge including additional items - will be dependent upon Ekitike passing a clinical and concurring individual terms.
Newcastle verged on marking him both in this and the January move window - yet finishing an arrangement demonstrated dangerous.
The move could affect Gianluca Scamacca's future at PSG, with the striker having been connected with a change to West Ham.

PSG have also made a bid of €35m plus add-ons. West Ham are awaiting a response from the Italian club, who are thought to value the player at €50m.
Carnevali says they don't have to sell and that there is no agreement with any club.
