Arsenal and Manchester City have agreed a fee of £30 million for Oleksandr Zinchenko, with a further £2 million in add-ons. The midfielder, who has spent time at left-back for the Blues, is currently on a pre-season tour with the Premier League champions in the United States. The Ukrainian international, 25, is set to return to England in the coming days to complete the transfer. Zinchenko was one of City coach Pep Guardiola's first signings in 2016.

He went on to win four league titles, an FA Cup, and four League Cups while appearing in 128 games across all competitions. Zinchenko would be the second player to move from City to the Emirates this summer, following striker Gabriel Jesus' £45 million move earlier this month.

Arsenal have personal terms with the Ukraine international after their Premier League counterparts accepted an offer worth £30 million plus £2 million in achievable add-ons. If everything goes as planned, Zinchenko will leave City's preseason tour to undergo a medical and sign a contract with the North London club. Although he plays in midfield for his country, Guardiola has mostly used Zinchenko at left-back. While that is an area of the pitch where Arsenal have been looking to improve, his versatility is certain to appeal. Zinchenko has had tremendous success at City, winning the English Premier League four times and the League Cup twice. He has won one FA Cup and will compete in the 2021 World Cup.

Following the completion of the Zinchenko deal with Arsenal, Manchester City have an official bid ready to begin talks with Marc Cucurella, who has always been Guardiola's top target as a new LB. Manchester City have prepared an official bid for Brighton defender Marc Cucurella after the transfer of Oleksandr Zinchenko to Arsenal became finalised in the last hour. City have Cucurella as a top target and are expected to make a bid for the Spanish defender soon. Brighton have been anticipating a bid from City for the player for several weeks.

Manchester City has submitted an official bid for Brighton defender Marc Cucurella. After the sale of Oleksandr Zinchenko to Arsenal, City are now ready to begin formal negotiations for the player.

Cucurella's signing appears to be a replacement for Oleksandr Zinchenko, with Galetti also claiming that a deal to bring the Ukrainian to Arsenal is nearing completion. Joao Cancelo, despite being a natural central midfielder, frequently covered at left-back for Zinchenko, who has also primarily played in different positions throughout his career. With the addition of Cucurella, Manchester City will be able to play with a natural left-back, while Cancelo will be able to play in his preferred right-back position.
