Dr. Kwame Asah Asante, a political analyst, has reacted to the threat made by Daniel Nii Titus-Glover, the failed candidate for New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Organiser.
Henry Nana Boakye, also known as Nana B, the newly elected National Organizer, has been told by Mr. Titus-Glover that he cannot work with him and that he would reject any offers of assistance from Mr. Boakye.
In reaction, Mr. Asah Asare stated that the New Party Party will proceed regardless of Mr. Titus-threat Glover's in an appearance on Joy FM's Midday News.
He said that this was the case because the party was an entity and as such would operate flawlessly because "it is greater and stronger than him [Titus Glover]."
However, Mr. Asah Asante expressed his amazement at Mr. Titus-comments, Glover's saying that it is his own fault if he chooses not to support the party in order for it to gain power.
The analyst does not have any authority to make such a claim.
"I believe that people need to understand that in a democracy, there will always be a winner, and that losing means accepting defeat and playing by the rules.
The ultimate goal of every political party is to achieve power and establish the next government, he continued, so "and you're prepared to cooperate with the party to gain power."
In order to choose new National Executives to run the party's operations and "break the eight," the New Patriotic Party conducted its National Delegates Conference on Saturday, July 16 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The conference's theme, "Working together, holding together," attracted over 6000 people.
The newly elected executives are: Mr. Stephen Ntim, National Chairman; Vice Chairman, Danquah Smith Buttey; Second Vice Chairman, Rita Asobayire; Third Vice Chairman, Alhaji Masawuud; General Secretary, Mr. Justin Frimpong Koduah; National Organiser, Henry Nana Boakye; National Women Organiser, Kate Gyamfua; National Nasara Coordinator, Abdul Aziz Haruna Futah; National Youth Organiser, Salam
