After confirming his future at Liverpool, Mohamed Salah said he was "happier than ever."
Fabinho thinks Mohamed Salah is "happier than before" after eventually reaching an agreement on a new three-year contract with Liverpool.
After losing Sadio, Fabinho comments, "That was incredibly crucial."
"We were aware that Mo had to continue playing for the team and with us."
Salah's decision to halt rumors and sign a new, long-term contract with the club was a turning point in a busy summer for Liverpool.
The revelation was revealed following months of discussions with his agent and mounting fan anxiety, which was exacerbated by Sadio Mane's departure for Bayern Munich at the end of June.
Losing one of the team's top forwards was devastating, but allowing Mane and Salah to leave in the same summer would have been unthinkable.
That sentiment was shared by others of the Liverpool team as well, as Fabinho can attest.
The Brazilian expressed his opinion that Salah is now "happier than before" as a result of making sure he stays at Anfield until 2025 in an interview with James Pearce of The Athletic.
"I am extremely pleased for him that the contract has been resolved. The No. 3 said, "I think he's happy now than he was before.
He may be the best player on this squad over the past five years, and he has proven how crucial he is to the team.
Salah has scored 156 goals in 254 games after transferring from Roma to Liverpool in 2017, amassing six championships, including the Premier League and Champions League, and moving up the club's all-time goalscorers list.
The Egyptian is currently in ninth place, but Michael Owen is only three goals behind him in eighth.
If Salah repeats his 31-goal season from the previous season, he will pass Owen, Kenny Dalglish, Robbie Fowler, and Steven Gerrard to take sixth place.
