A former member of the Kufour administration's chief of staff has advocated for amicable relations between the NPP's newly elected national leaders and the losers.
Mr. Mpiani pointed out that it is wise to take this action in order to prevent resentment inside the party.
He emphasised that it is necessary for winners to "speak to the losers, bring them in" following every election in an exclusive interview with JoyNews' Blessed Sogah on Monday. After all, it is for the party, and there will always be losers and victors in every election.
"The leadership, or those who were elected, should endeavour to bring about togetherness in the party if you want a competent government, and it should be their responsibility to do so," "Initially people won't be [happy], naturally disappointed, might have lost a little money here and there and therefore egos bruised or something like that, so after some time, not too long a time, three to four days, the winners, especially the Chairman and the General Secretary should take it upon themselves to bring everyone on board," he advised.
Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover, a former New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate for national organiser, has stated he is unable to collaborate with Henry Nana Boakye, also known as Nana B.
He made it quite clear that he would reject any offer from Nana B, the Party's chosen National Organiser. Nobody ought to underestimate me. Sorry, but I'm unable to work for Nana B. In an interview with Adom FM, he stated, "I am a member of the party, and I will always be willing to work for it.
All candidates at the recently concluded National Delegates' Conference were asked by the party to put aside their differences and work together to win the 2024 elections.
The party's leadership has given notice that it will go on a reconciliation tour of all voting places, districts, and regional offices in order to resolve internal disputes and present a unified face in their effort to "break the eight."
