Former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson believes Ghana defender Tariq Lamptey will be a valuable addition to Manchester United's squad ahead of the new season.
United has been active in the transfer market, adding players to their roster. They've already signed Lisandro Martinez, Christian Eriksen, and Tyrell Malacia, but there will be more.
Ten Haag is looking to bolster his right-back position, and ex-Tottenham Hotspurs player Robinson has suggested Brighton's Lamptey as a potential replacement.
I believe Wan-Bissaka is also attacking; he's just had the shackles tightened a little bit in the last couple of seasons.
Lamptey is a good player and a good option. Is he a significant upgrade over Wan-Bissaka? In an interview with Football Insider, Paul Robinson said, "He's another quality addition to the squad."
"I'm not sure I see that one," he added. They'll have a difficult time getting him out.
Transfermarkt values the 21-year-old with 50 Premier League appearances at 18 million euros.
Lamptey is currently at Brighton & Hove Albion for pre-season training. He's working hard to get in shape before the new campaign begins.
