According to sources in Spain, Cristiano Ronaldo's desire to quit Manchester United this summer is in part motivated by his girlfriend, Georgina Rodriguez.

Ronaldo has stated that he will not fulfill the remaining 12 months of his deal with United and that he desires a transfer during the summer transfer window. The 37-year-old is dissatisfied with United's recruitment efforts and their failure to advance to the Champions League.

Due to family obligations, the Portuguese forward was unable to go with Erik ten Hag's team on their preseason tour of Thailand and Australia. Meanwhile, speculation over his future is still rife, with Chelsea, Napoli, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, and Atletico Madrid among the teams said to be interested in signing him.

This summer, Old Trafford is not the only place Ronaldo wants to leave. The Madrid region is where Georgina wants to go back to Spain, according to the Spanish tabloid Sport.

Currently residing close to Manchester with his partner, Ronaldo has also visited his native Portugal and kept active there while his teammates were gone. He and Georgina have been together since 2016, when they initially connected at a Dolce & Gabbana event in Madrid, where she was employed as a Gucci sales assistant.

Together, the couple is parents to two kids: a daughter named Alana Martina who was born in November 2017 and a young girl who was born in April of this year. Tragically, a baby boy was lost following delivery earlier this year.

They share a home with Cristiano Jr., 11, and Mateo and Eva, twins who are four. Georgina, a former resident of Madrid who now works as a model, is originally from Jaca in northeastern Spain. She first met Ronaldo there when he was still a member of the Real Madrid team.

Ronaldo won't be traded this summer, United has made that clear. Ten Hag has stated that he intends to work with the veteran forward through the 2022–2023 campaign and has even hinted that he may extend their current contract into June 2023.

When questioned by reporters in Melbourne about Ronaldo's future, he responded, "I am well informed, he also has an option, no?" Therefore, Ronaldo could expand his visit."

Ronaldo doesn't seem to have many transfer choices, in part because of his staggering £500,000 weekly salary. Diego Simeone, the manager of Atletico Madrid, had been eager to bring him back to the Spanish capital, but it is said that they cannot afford the United striker.
