Nobody knows where the money is coming from, but things are changing at Barcelona as president Joan Laporta tries to resurrect the team and return it to the pinnacle of European soccer.
The Blaugrana have acquired a number of outstanding new players, most notably Raphinha of Leeds and Robert Lewandowski of Bayern Munich. Additionally, free agents Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessie from Chelsea and Milan, respectively, have signed.
This summer at Camp Nou, there will undoubtedly also be a handful of high-profile outgoings to pay for these improbable agreements.

Robert Lewandowski, Miralem Pjanic, Andreas Christensen, Alex Collado, Franck Kessie, and Raphinha are among the players lacking jersey numbers.
La Liga has some intriguing squad numbering regulations that set it apart from the majority of the other top European Leagues.
According to the rules, first-team players must be assigned a squad number between 1 and 25. Goalkeepers are also limited to wearing the numbers 1, 13, or 25, while backup players must wear the numbers 26 to 50.
Recently, these limitations made headlines when Barcelona was stopped from retiring the number 10 jersey since doing so would have made it more difficult for them to have a full 25-player squad in the future.
In contrast to other European leagues, La Liga players have much more time before the start of a new season to change their jersey numbers.
The highest division of Spanish soccer does not require players to choose their number until the end of August, and new players are allowed to choose any number they like as long as the existing player agrees to give it up.
