Private lawyer Maurice Ampaw has criticized Central Member of Parliament (MP) Assin Kennedy Agyapong for talking too much.
In an interview, the lawyer accused the MP of making a fuss about the small contributions he makes to the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) as if he were the only one giving money to support the party.
“Kennedy Agyapong, what is your contribution to the party? You shout about the 2 or 3 cedis contribution you give to NPP and make a public show about it, others don't.
“Do you know how much other people contribute and don't make a fuss about it? Do you know how much Kufuor contributed? Do you know how much Nana Addo contributed to this party? Do you know how much Ofori-Atta contributed to this party? Addo Kufuor, do you know his contribution? Do you know Chairman Wontumi's post? Their contributions are far above yours but they don't scream like you,” said Maurice Ampaw.
Lawyer Maurice Ampaw went after Kennedy Agyapong after the MP warned JE Ashanti Region Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, not to act like he owns the party.
According to the private lawyer, the Assin Central Legislature has no achievements in politics apart from serving as an MP and should not be compared to Speaker Wontumi.
“Kennedy Agyapong, your only achievement is being an MP in politics. Apart from being an MP, you haven't achieved anything, you don't even contribute ideas in parliament. You have not been a minister before, you have not been the CEO of any state agency, your only achievement is being an MP.
“When it comes to politics, you cannot even compare yourself to Chairman Wontumi because he was a constituency chairman for two terms, from constituency chairman to three-time county chairman, he paid the bills of the party himself,” lawyer Maurice Ampaw shared.
