The Atlas Lionesses of Morocco’s head coach, Reynald Pedros has conceded his team face an uphill task in their bid to reach a first Africa Women’s Cup of Nations final.
The North Africans will face defending champions, the Super Falcons of Nigeria, in the semi-final at the Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex, Rabat on Monday night (today).
The Lionesses have won all their four games in the competition but the Super Falcons will be their biggest test.
The North Africans will also bank on their vociferous fans to beat the Super Falcons.
Pedros reckoned that the Super Falcons will be a tough nut to crack for his team but they will give their all in the game.
“Nigeria is truly a strong team – the strongest in Africa. They always qualify for the World Cup. We have studied them and know their strength and I can say that in the semifinal, everything is possible. We need to do our best,” Pedros told CAFonline.
“We know that they are strong. They are the strongest for many years. We know this, however, we are going to do our best in this game. We know who we are facing. It is up to us.”
