4 Garrison social club wins over Regional Maritime social club

4 Garrison Officers Mess Tennis Club have by and by demonstrated their prevalence in friendly tennis match-ups, as they beat Regional Maritime University (RMU) Tennis Club, 7-4 last Saturday at the 4 Garrison Officers Mess Tennis Club, Kumasi.

 

On the whole, 12 games were played, with the host group (4 Garrison) winning 5 singles and 3 copies against the away group. RMU won 2 singles and 2 duplicates matches.

 

Kojo Akonua started the competition on a brilliant note for the home club as he crushed Alex Kwabena Mensah 7-4. A sublime showcase by the commander of 4 Garrison Tennis Club, Jonathan Quartey followed as he outsmarted his rival, David Naawu 7-1.

 

4 Garrison's Thomas Ohene Effeh who utilizes two hands to play, shocked the mentor of RMU Kenneth Boaful 7-3. The away group retaliated for certain successes as Jacob Oheneba Amoakoh put a few grins on the essences of the away side as he won 7-4 against Samuel Taylor.

 

RMU's Albert Dzah likewise won 7-6 (4) against Nana Yaw Wallas. The last singles finished for the host group as Kwaku Amankwa energized on his power effectively expel Ben Amanquah 7-5.

The away group (RMU) social club answered rapidly as Ben Amanquah and his accomplice Jacob Oheneba Amoakoh beat Joshua Mensah/Yaw Sarpong 7-4. Albert Dzah and David Naawu kept trusts alive as the pair won 7-1 against Albert Adu and Nana Attakorah.

 

Acting President of 4 Garrison Robert Tetteh and his accomplice Frank Newton enveloped up the competition by a delightful way as the pair defeated their rival Alex Kwabena Mensah and Michael Nyarko 7-1.

 

Talking after the competition, acting leader of 4 Garrison, Robert Tetteh said: "as the acting leader of the club, I will endeavor to make 4 Garrison social club exceptionally alluring to the corporate world and magnificent to our kindred social clubs. I have driven the club to beat Akosombo social club and presently RMU social club."

 

He complimented RMU social club for respecting their greeting in the one-day contest.
