Roy Keane, a Manchester United legend, has suggested to manager Erik ten Hag that he replace goalkeeper David de Gea during the current summer transfer window and make four other signings to bolster his squad.

So far this summer, Manchester United has signed midfielder Christian Eriksen and defenders Tyrell Malacia and Lisandro Martinez.

However, Keane believes Ten Hag requires more reinforcements as Manchester United seeks to close the gap on Premier League rivals Manchester City, Liverpool, and Chelsea.

When asked which areas of Man United still need to be strengthened following the additions of Eriksen, Malacia, and Martinez, Keane said, according to Metro UK, "Off the top of my head, it is the midfield." Nobody knows where the money is coming from, but everything is changing at Barcelona as president Joan Laporta attempts to catapult the club back into the upper echelons of European football.

The Blaugrana have brought in a slew of new players, including Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski and Leeds winger Raphinha. Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessie have also arrived on loan from Chelsea and Milan, respectively.

To fund these unlikely deals, Camp Nou is likely to see a number of high-profile outgoings this summer.

Robert Lewandowski, Miralem Pjanic, Andreas Christensen, Alex Collado, Franck Kessie, and Raphinha are the players who do not have a shirt number.

La Liga has some interesting squad numbering rules that differ from the majority of the other top European Leagues.

According to the rules, first-team players must be assigned a squad number ranging from one to twenty-five. Furthermore, goalkeepers can only wear the numbers 1, 13, or 25, while second-string players must wear a number between 26 and 50.

Recently, Barcelona was prevented from retiring the number 10 jersey because it would have hampered their ability to register a full, 25-person squad in the future.

La Liga players can change their shirt numbers much later in the season than players in other European leagues.
