Ajax wants to replace Martinez with a Man Utd player.
Following up on last week's purchase of Christian Eriksen, Manchester United revealed that Lisandro Martinez had been agreed to be transferred from Ajax, marking a significant win for Erik ten Hag's team.
However, according to the PantelicPodcast in the Netherlands, through the Express, the Eredivisie winners are seeking to avenge the Red Devils by swooping for brilliant teenager Ethan Laird, who reportedly would be willing to relocate to Amsterdam.

Goal for United is to join Marseille
Following an outstanding season in Ligue 1 for RC Lens, it was only recently reported that French wingback Jonathan Clauss was a target for Manchester United this summer. However, the most recent reports indicate that he has now signed with Marseille.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano via The Hard Tackle, Clauss is now anticipated to remain in his homeland with Marseille this season. The Frenchman was the subject of transfer interest from a number of other clubs, including Chelsea.
Erik ten Hag reportedly considered Clauss as a possible Aaron Wan-Bissaka replacement this summer, but if he still wants to offload the former Crystal Palace player from the team before the new season, the Dutchman will have to look elsewhere.
Potential Wan-Bissaka replacements are found by Man Utd.
It has also been suggested by football365 that Erik ten Hag may have another player in mind who he could choose to replace Aaron Wan-Bissaka with this summer, despite being on the verge of losing out on French international Jonathan Clauss.
Even before he took over, Ten Hag was unimpressed with Wan-Bissaka, and the Dutchman believes the right defender is too inconsistent and doesn't provide enough offensive danger.Denzel Dumfries of Inter Milan, though, would be a viable option, claims the article.
The Dutchman is believed to "appreciate" Dumfries, and even though he only joined Inter last summer after an outstanding performance at Euro 2020, the Netherlands international could leave again after making only 21 Serie A starts the previous year. However, no attempts have been made as of yet.
