Chelsea FC Working On A Bid To Sign 25-year-old FC Barcelona Star Player

Despite signing Kalidou Koulibaly and Raheem Sterling this summer, Chelsea FC is still open to adding a midfielder to their lineup.

According to a report from The Sun, Chelsea FC has informed FC Barcelona that they are working on a "formal proposal" to bring De Jong to Stamford Bridge. The Blues have informed FC Barcelona about their interest in signing one of their star players.

Manchester United recently put in a £72 million bid to woo the 25-year-old Dutch player away from Nou Camp, making him their top priority target.

In order to secure Frenkie De Jong's services, Chelsea FC must step up their game.

According to a different rumor, former Ajax player Frenkie isn't eager to work under former Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag again, which is good news for Chelsea FC.

Given his youth and potential, De Jong would be an excellent long-term addition to Chelsea's midfield.

‘HE HAS TO WORK HARDER’: LIVERPOOL TOLD 23-YEAR-OLD HAS ‘STRUGGLED’ IN PRE-SEASON

Darwin Nunez, a recent addition to Liverpool, has allegedly'struggled' during preseason, according to Luis Garcia, who spoke to ESPN. The former Red made it plain that Nunez needs to "work harder" but that he is "not at all" concerned about what he is seeing from the high-profile summer addition.

The transfer cost the club spent for his services and the fact that Sadio Mane is being replaced put more pressure on Liverpool's newcomer.Nunez and Luis Diaz joined and left in the same window, so even though Nunez is a very different player from Mane and Luis Diaz also arrived in January, they will be contrasted in that way.

This is what Garcia had to say about Nunez despite the fact that Nunez's preseason troubles were being highlighted by the supporters of other teams.

Regarding concerns about Nunez, Garcia responded, "No, not at all. He will need to put in more effort since Liverpool plays considerably differently from how he did at Benfica.

Benfica was on the field for him. In those areas, he was prepared to receive the ball and quickly change directions. "However, after all of that, he needs to go back and press. He struggled in the two games I saw him play—against Manchester United and Crystal Palace.

"He wants to demonstrate that he will be prepared to play. Jurgen Klopp is putting Liverpool under a lot of strain, but after three or four runs, he started to feel exhausted. I believe the reason he's having trouble is that he's exhausted. He must prepare physically so that he can compete at Liverpool's level and intensity.
