Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, a deputy minister of energy, has said that the government has started an ambitious industrialization programme.

According to him, the gas industry would provide the parameters within which this industrial development will prosper through the growth of an integrated aluminium and steel industry, a car hub, and a Ghana petrochemical centre.

He revealed this at the beginning of the inaugural Ghana Gas Senior Staff Association Week celebration, which was held on the grounds of the Ghana National Gas Company (GNGC).

The Deputy Minister claims that the government's strategy for socioeconomic development has benefited greatly from the enormous transition the gas industry in Ghana has undergone over the past several years, the work of the Company's personnel, especially the senior staff under the eminent leadership of Dr. K.D. Asante.

This is demonstrated by the Company's ability to maintain the nation's power sector during the past several years, aiding Ghana in its efforts to expedite growth by reducing the frequency of power outages, or "dumsor," which caused enterprises to collapse and halted industrial expansion.

According to Dr. Ben K.D Asante, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ghana Gas, the administration has made a significant commitment to consistently enhance capacity and components at all levels with the help of the Senior Staff Association.

The emphasis on on-the-job training is strong at Ghana Gas. To be able to maintain the intellectual capacity that we take such pleasure in, mentorship is crucial, he added.

The CEO claims that if this is accomplished, it will support the industry, which requires high-level capacity.

He urged all employees to band together and make an effort to contribute their fair share to building out the nation's gas infrastructure.

The CEO used the occasion to discuss some of the gas industry's potential growth areas. He specifically mentioned the onshore pipeline, which would extend over 300 kilometres from Takoradi to Tema and will increase the system's capacity and dependability.

The CEO disclosed that the company plans to quadruple its activities by expanding the processing plant's capacity.

He instructed the managers to work by deliverables and put in extra effort on their own initiative. He said, "You have to push yourself to accomplish and deliver those duties that have been delegated by your supervisors. "Ghana Gas is a company that values teamwork since a whole is stronger than its individual components,"
