Ghana confirmed another outbreak of the deadly disease in Ghana.

The name of the disease is Marburg Virus.

A report from CNN showed that on Monday, July 17th Ghana confirmed the first two cases of the deadly disease - World Health Organisation(WHO) announced.

Two Patients from Ashanti Region who tested positive for the virus have died.

Over 90 contacts are currently being traced, according to the WHO

Marburg virus behaves similar to Ebola Virus and research showed that they are in the same family.

The virus is transmitted to people from fruit bats at which point human-to-human transmission is possible through contact with bodily fluids.

The symptoms are nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting and fever.

There are no cures, antiviral treatments or vaccines for the virus.

Reports from CNN identify the fact that previous Marburg outbreaks took place in some parts of African countries such as Kenya, Guinea, Uganda, South Africa and the Democratic Republic of Congo and Angola.

200 people died during the outbreak of the Marburg virus in Angola in the year 2005.

According to WHO measures are taken to curb the spread of the infectious Marburg Virus disease before getting out of hand.

I wish everyone should be aware of this deadly disease and take the necessary measure to prevent it.
