The Digital Literacy program's 1,000 internship openings have been announced by the Ministry of Education.
The following requirements must be met in order for a candidate to be appointed to an internship position:
must not have graduated before 2018.
in possession of a Bachelor's degree in education with a focus on information technology, a Bachelor's degree in ICT, a Diploma in ICT, or an equivalent degree from a recognized institution. capable of integrating ICT with Education in terms of E- Learning and content development; knowledgeable in networking and infrastructure, application development, information security, and project management.
The duties encompass, but are not restricted to;
Support for E-Learning and content creation in accordance with work plans
Support classrooms and train primary school teachers on how to use digital literacy tools
Encourage the program for digital learning to be implemented
implementing technologies to help schools maximize their usage of digital learning.
Assist teachers by integrating ICT in the delivery of teaching, learning, and assessment. Support the ethical, safe, and responsible use of technology in learning
Help the faculty of the school establish and produce important school policies and procedures.
ICT services for schools should be maintained and given first-line support.
Timeframe of Internship
12-month period; non-renewable Stipend
The State Department will provide the interns with a stipend at a rate set by the Public Service Commission.
Certificate
The State Department will issue the interns a certificate after they successfully complete the Internship Program.
How to Use
By August 9th, 2022, graduates who are interested and qualified should submit their applications through the Commission's job site, which is accessible through www.publicservice.go.ke or www.psckjobs.go.ke.
This term will see the administration of the national examinations for class eight candidates (KCPE), form four students (KCSE), and class six students (KPSEA).
Between November 28 and December 1, 2022, the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations will be held.
The Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams, on the other hand, will be held from December 1 through December 23, 2022. The marking period will run from January 2 to January 20, 2023.
Dates for the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) have not yet been set by the testing authority (KNEC).
Under the new competence-based curriculum, the KPSEA exams are about to take the place of the KCPE. These evaluations will be utilized to provide a seamless transition from elementary school to junior high.
