Jules Kounde's transfer from Chelsea to Sevilla is reportedly nearing completion, according to recent reports. It was reported that the Frenchman should turn down any and all offers because the Blaugrana have not yet made a written offer for him.
But as of right now, according to a new update from Gerard Romero, there has been progress in the negotiations between Barcelona and Sevilla for the Frenchman.
According to the update, Sevilla director Monchi and Barcelona director Mateu Alemany have settled on a price for Kounde. Now that a transfer fee has been agreed upon, the 23-year-old must pick between Barça and the Blues.
Kounde has his sights set on a transfer to Barcelona, according to Romero. The French international has already signed a contract with the Blaugrana prior to the transfer, according to the Spanish journalist who broke the news first.
Romero also revealed information about the supposed contract, saying that it was a four-year agreement with many changeable clauses, one of which related to the defender's current hamstring injury issues.
What remains to be seen is Kounde's final destination after leaving Sevilla, which is all but a given given the conflicting stories that are constantly being released about the matter.
Raphinha was the subject of a battle between Chelsea and Barcelona earlier this summer, with the Catalans winning the battle. Observing whether lightning strikes again will undoubtedly be interesting.

“They do not have money but buys every player they want” - Bayern manager digs at Barcelona
There were worries about Barcelona's financial situation going into the transfer window because the team was going through a financial crisis. It now appears that the Spanish team was able to arrange its transfers.
Both Barcelona and Spotify have benefited financially from their sponsorship arrangement. Despite this, Barcelona is thinking of selling a 49 percent part in Barcelona Studios. If this were to happen, Barca would receive a sizable sum of money that would allow them to acquire additional players and pay for their registration fees without any problems.
Nagelsmann, the manager of Bayern Munich, comments to BILD media following the introduction of Lewandowski in Camp Nou: "Barcelona is the only team that had no money but then bought every target they wanted. I do not know how they do it but it is kind of bizarre, kind of crazy."
